One site that lists and debunks myths and rumors is www.truthorfiction.com. I always check there before I send on any rumor, no matter how logical it sounds. Usually the truth is more fascinating than the rumor.

2 ways. One is to go to hoaxbuster.com , and the other is to let your email address become well known, responding to all the forwards you get, and you'll find people will be forwarding you loads of urban legends.
