I got a certificate for a free pair of colored contacts but I have to pay for the exam. How much is it? How much are the contacts if I have to buy some extra pairs?

Get out your phone book and make some phone calls. Eye exam charges vary from city to city and even from eye place to eye place. Ask people you know who they would recommend seeing for an eye exam and then spend an hour or so letting your fingers do the walking through the Yellow Pages. Don't forget to also tell them that you have this certificate for a free pair of colored contacts and ask them if they'll honor it or if they even carry that line of contact lenses. That way, you'll know beforehand that everything is golden when you go for your exam.
