I used to be a carney. The games should be viewed as merely "for fun", never expect to win a really good prize. They are mostly for show and very few are given out for real. Some of the people you see carrying one around is with the carnival and is a shill, usually. Just don't spend more money than you can afford to lose and enjoy the game. Then move on, to play another one that captures your interest. The best deals are the food and rides. I ran a popcorn wagon in the summer between teaching jobs. Have fun. Total fix. I design and knit spaced out jumpers (sweaters / pullovers /woolies whatever you call them) and I was the only one with entries in a certain catagory, I entered 2 pieces and I received 2nd and 3rd prize placings, go figure, I told them to shove there prize money etc, just a little too bizarre I suppose.

I've won, even enough to trade up for the biggest thing at the booth. Then I was stuck with a big cheap stuffed thing that probably cost me $50...
