I'm a Junior in high school and we're now beginning the college registration process. I've been looking at colleges such as the University of Tennessee and Middle Tennessee State University. Our principal totally freaked me out today when he started talking about all of these approaching events. Currently, I stand at a 3.2 GPA and I haven't taken the ACT yet. Even though my grades are decent, I still can't shake the feeling of failing miserably(it's been this way since Freshman year). Any comments that would give me solace would be profoundly appreciated.

You're not failing miserably. Anything above a 3.0 is pretty respectable. Start studying for that ACT. You'll be fine!

This is a normal feeling. I felt the same way upon entering college. In fact at our freshman orientation they told us to look at the people sitting around us and then said 50% of you won't graduate. That scared me to pieces but it made me want to prove them wrong. I graduated in 4 years with a Bachelors Degree. I wasn't an honor student or anything outstanding but I got through and got the diploma and it has been a door opener for me ever since. You will be fine, just relax and try not to take everything so seriously. Do your best and that will be enough!
