Hey. How do you delete the virus on the Pokemon Fire Red for GBA. .?

I got this game from Pakistan but iIt won't save for some reason. How would I delete the virus.

the game must have be some spoil,i don't know anything about the virus but i think u can buy a memory card to save instead of saveing it in the cartridge.
