mike t, i didn't suggest what charles manson did was anthing like what roman did.to quote you "i will watch any film made by Polanski on the basis that he is good at what he does" did you mean his film making or raping children?

Nope.
Endorsement is a form of approval.

Roman Polanski??
You ever heard of Charles Manson? If so, you class what Manson did to Polanskis wife and unborn child worse than what Polanski did?
I will watch any film made by Polanski on the basis that he is good at what he does. Glitter on the other hand was absolute crap when he wasn't a paedophile and still is.

Or Michael Jackson, and no I don't listen to his music, or Gary Glitters. Take away the power that comes with the money and you take some power back. They are/were only famous because of the support of their fans, so remove the support and return them to anonymity.

yes...depending on who it is, whether I liked them or not from the beginning. I think that mostly everyone who enjoys R&B music still listens to R.Kelly and Michael Jackson despite the child molestation and rape accusations. I think when stuff doesn't effect you directly, you tend to brush it off as just another human making a mistake. But if it hit close to home like they molested your niece or nephew, then you'd probably boycott their music and burn every CD of theirs that you own.

it depends on why you listen or watch the artist/actor in the first place, if you're watching because you think he/she is a good person then when you find out they aren't then you'll stop listening/watching to that person but if you enjoy their art because of the actual music or movie or what have you then you will probably still listen/watch that person

If it's really bad, it would be hard - I never listened to Gary Glitter but would avoid him after that definately

No I don't think so as I wouldn't be able to not think about it every time I saw them or their work. I also think they should keep a low profile and not have the audacity to continue.

Well I stopped listening to Michael Jackson, and his "allegations" were never "proven" in court.....
