Hi. I've had lots of therapy in my life: behavioral and cognitive and these have always helped during the training. The problem is I don't "practice" it. I find everything wonderfull theorys but "doing" it is hard: It doesn't happen. It kindof reminds me of other intentions like wanting to sport more-but not keeping it up.

I know that practicing what I've learnt during the cognitive and bevarioral therapy will help me. But I don't do it and I don't know why. Do I not like myself?

Well, perhaps you are just not interested in that part of the "business"

Just because you want a toy for Xmas doesn't mean you have to play with it every day, or even at all.

Don't fret, just do what you like to do.

The reason that you don't practice what you've learned is because subconsciously you do not want to change. I don't think it's because you are lazy........ you are probably afraid of failing and that is stopping you. I would suggest that you tell a counselor the truth and go for more counseling.
