We just had the question. What annoys you? Well what simple things make you happy?
I mean the sort of feeling inside where you just fell free and at peace with yourself, And you realise, all isnt cr^p.
For me it's getting home after a 12 hour working day sitting down and one of my two cats just wanting to sit on my lap and sleep.
The simple things, can make life great. So let me know yours.

Babies Laughing. There just isn't another sound on earth quite like it. They can make the most hard-hearted individual smile when they really let go.

Long, warm hugs Hugging people who smell good Smiles from random people Having a blanket over you when it's cold Sleeping in your bed with your blanket Smiles from cute babies Little kids playing together When someone picks up something you've dropped unexpectedly Taking a shower after a long day Someone asking you about yourself Comforting words Encouraging words Reuniting with people of the past Painting my nails a different color Drinking water after being in the hot sun Biting into food when it's hot Eating a bowl of ice cream while watching your favorite show Putting my hair in a pony tail when I'm hot Greeting people you don't know who greet back Saying hi to strangers Seeing my baby sister tell me stories she makes up Making up stories for my baby sister Summer reading books that actually are good Eating after grocery shopping And I could go on forever, but all things come to an end.

The neighborhood cats meowing their recognition as I walk by.

When the toilet at the house I'm visiting flushes all the way on the first try!

Sushi!

Blatant typos in academic texts.

The way my boyfriend laughs at me when I try to laugh without smiling (I get bad headaches when I smile too much, which is quite often), and then purposely makes me laugh. I literally have to hold my cheeks with my hands!

Looking through old photo albums.

Seeing elderly couples walking on the beach wearing next to nothing and holding hands.

The way my boyfriend 'twitches' in his sleep.

When people say nice things about me behind my back.

Watching my grandmother knit.

The song "All night long" by Lionel Richie. I mean, just read the lyrics!: http://www.lyricsmansion.com/result.php?number=7734

How can that NOT make you cry tears of joy?

I could go on and on, but I suddenly have an urge to put on some music :)

All sorts of things:
Talking to someone I haven't seen in a while, or getting to know someone new.
Someone (friend/foe/boss/teacher/anyone) saying nice things about me, whether to my face or not.
Coming home to my husband, and knowing that I will be doing it for the rest of my life :)
Getting a good grade in university.
Handing in an essay/assignment early.
Sitting watching TV with one of my 3 animals on my lap, happy to just be petted.
Random people smiling at me in the street.
Going out for a drink and letting my hair down.

Looking around my garden and seeing the plants just emerging from the soil. They have survived the winter again!!!
Also my dogs running around playing. My grown up kids talking about the mischief they got upto, (that we didnt know about!) and the holidays we had in a caravan, going to the beach, and hearing how much they enjoyed it. That makes me happy & smile. Also, walking down the road, and someone says hello, or just smiles.

Wow..you´re reading my mind--I was thinking of posting this question!Mm..some of the simple things..
Sipping on a hazelnut latte with only my book for company at a quiet cafe, seeing couples hold hands, catching my favorite song on the radio, seeing something really funny with my best friends--and not needing to speak at all, just looking at each other we understand what everyone thought, sitting on the balcony with my sister on a summer afternoon, when in a crowd-having someone guide you through with their hand on your back,an unexpected message from a friend, waking up on Saturday and realizing that you don´t have to go to work, saying good-morning everyday to my German Shepard when I leave for work, the list can go on and on....
I,too,do believe that these small everyday moments not only define us,but make us more happy..

I love summer, so a simple thing for me would be walking on the sunny side of the street!
Or when I visit my in-laws (which I dread!) I see their three lovely dogs come running up to me and almost toppling me over and it makes me know that although the people in there may not like me I'll always have the dogs!
Great question though, thanks :-)

Waking up to see another day because you know it wasn't promised. To see my children smile. The wind blowing in my hair. Sun on My skin. These are some of the things that make me happy. My mom I could go on and on. Think Happy Be Happy.
