...are so sexually explicit, that while radio surfing, I cringe if I hear some lyrics with my 21 year old daughter in the car.

I know, right? It is horrible to think how far we are from decent music.
I'm 27 and I absolutely LOATHE the music on popular radio. I listen to oldies...music made back in the day when when you actually had to sing to get a record deal. Back in the day when people sang about love, doing the right thing, holding hands and stealing kisses in the dark. (::sigh::) That's what music is all about.
The stuff coming out today is total crap with no meaning and it doesn't matter what color or sex the artist is.

I seldom listen any more. Sometimes I'll tune in for a language I don't speak so I can enjoy the music without considering the lyrics.

Blacks created Rock in roll as well - Plus we did not have the money to promote it. Thank Jerry Heller and the major labels who make the most money off of it!
And I agree - I keep it on the Jazz station!

i totally agree...i haven't listened to american music in like 3 or 4 years now cuz it's getting so bad. now i only listen to oldies or hindi music.
