London Eye's a bit expensive for a 30min (if you're lucky) flight but if the weather's good the views are good.
The Garden is very touristy but worth a visit, once.

As far as expensive, Covent Garden is no more expensive than any other place in London. There are wonderful little shops, and more well-known stores in the area. It is great for people-watching, as well as relaxing while enjoying the street performers. I always make it a point to go to Covent Garden every time I go to London. Also, it is true: the best time to go on the London Eye is in clear weather. But, since you are pre-booked, hope for the best! Take a camera!

oh my god i am so jealous of you!! i lived in london for 5 months and visited covent garden many times! it's classy, and has a lot of cute shops. but if you are not planning on dropping some big bucks there...it's not worth the trip! (btw, take the elevator off the tube...you will be sorry if you think you can make the stairs!!...fools!)
someone said camden market is a lot more wild....but i wouldn't even compare the two. if you are looking to visit covent garden specifically then you probably are not the type of person who would want to go to camden market with your wallet duct taped to your stomatch for safety and try out bongs, peirce your nipples, and buy a dildo!! some fun "sight seeing", but a little too crazy for me!
also, the london eye is phenomenal (again $$$ - but what isn't in london)...but you have to make sure you get to do it on a clear day, otherwise it's not worth the trip. i went on a partially cloudy day and i was not impressed, but had some friends rave about it!!
enjoy....i am so jealous!

If you are hungry when you get to Covent Garden, it's well worth checking out Cafe Pacifico on Langley Street (just along from the tube station) - the best mexican food in London, bar none!!

I didn't find Covent Garden particularly interesting. Camden market is MUCH bigger and wilder. Best at weekends.
The London Eye is worth going on. On a sunny clear day you will see more of course. I wouldn't buy one of the photo's they offer you - not worth it.
If you're young and full of energy you could do 6 places in one hectic day. there are plenty of places to go without spending £ on entrance fees. Trafalgar square, Buckingham palace, Tower Bridge, National Gallery, Tate Modern (the best bits cost £) Millenium Bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, Oxford Street, Bond St area.
