All animals feel pain, of course - it's a survival mechanism - but humans are the only animals who can know, name and describe what we feel. We're also the only animals capable of love. Descartes said that this level of consciousness and 'mentalese', or inner language, was what separated us from all other animals.

a) God invented love, and He lets there be pain so it can make us better people.
b) we feel the way we feel because of 1) spiritual changes in our soul and 2) chemical changes in our brain.
c) we know this is how we feel because we feel that way. you can't really put feelings in a box and determine whether they truly do or do not exist, metaphysically. you feel the way you feel, whatever that is. if you don't know how you feel, then that simply means you don't know how to classify exactly what you're feeling, or maybe your feelings are in conflict with each other. but you're still feeling the way you feel, whatever.
(for the record, that doesn't mean that you can't change the way you feel).
hope this answered your questions.

Love and pain are constructs. They are words that give a name to what we feel. We know this is how we feel because we have experienced the opposite emotion. Without ever having been sad, you'll never even realize you're happy.

You are of course 'joking.'
Have you not read the book of Instructions that came with you when you were born and 'ought to have been handed down to you by your parents'?
If not, then, shame upon them. I'd sue the beggars and go right off to your maternity hospital and look for a replacement (Manual) if I were you.
I mean, it's such as shame ...in this day n age too
I dunno what the world is coming to for parents to be so bad at it.....

for example feeling sad is (can be) a expression of loss.
feelings helps us cope with life and its problems, to stand it, and handle it
Example2: laugh is when we see a absurd situation and feel deep anxiety, a good laugh helps us stand it.

You're just asking for a whole lot of bible-thumping answers with a question like that...
Not me.
Because we do.
Because we do.
