1)The Nazis would give enough food for half of the captured population and leave them to fight over it.
2)Make them work in the factories which furthered their cause to the war.
3)They had send their own people to the gas chambers and turn on the gas, if they did not they would be next. Even if it was members of their own family.
4)Experiment on twins to see if the other would feel what the other was going through.
5)Pick one to be nice to and have the others turn against the one having it nice.

There were many ways that the Nazis tortured the victims of the holocaust. Here are just a few:
whipping
starving/ very little food
sleeping in barracks with 100s of other people
dirty living conditions/ contaminated water
forcing victims to dig trenches
forcing victims to carry dead fellows to mass graves
medical experimentation (you don't want to know)
forcing victims to live without clothing
gas chambers (to exterminate)

Testing the limits of the body!
Twins were greeted with glee. They had a test and a control for their experiments.
Cold water test = how cold?
Air pressure = what can pilots endure?
repeatedly breaking bones = how many times will it heal?
If you do a Yahoo search of "Nazi experiments" or Nazi medical experiments" you'll find plenty, including photos.

every means possible at one time or another, anything that your or others twisted mind may envision. Deprivation of food, water, sunlight, sleep, hope, not to mention beating ,shooting, rape, stabbing, horrific medical experimentation. I've had the honor of meeting Jan Karski before his death...what he saw in Auschwitz Bierkinu haunted him everyday.
