A blog has more information content, a website provides links, has ads, and usually wants the visitor to purchase something. Blogging is more about personal expression, in other words. :)

Blog: a public web site where users post informal journals of their thoughts, comments, and philosophies, updated frequently and normally reflecting the views of the blog's creator.

Website: A site (location) on the World Wide Web. Each website contains a homepage, which is the first document users see when they enter the site. The site might also contain additional documents and files. Each site is owned and managed by an individual, company, or organization.
