Yup poker coach is right, a community card will be used in most cases when there is not enough cards in the deck to continue. You must have at least one card remaining in the stub at the end of the hand. Also some card rooms will also shuffle the burn cards and deal them out as well, depending on house policy's.

A deck of 52 cards. 8 players maximum. If every players are still in the hand for 7th street, they would not be enough cards for everybody. So, a single community card is dealt to the center of the table, and is shared by everyone
