and its in scotland, so rent rate's are lower here than in england.
just seems a bit pricey, know someone who live's about 20miles away from me paying less rent than me for a 3 bedroom semi with front and back garden !

mine is 280 a month for a 4 bedroom house. (somerset) mine is council owned so rent is a bit cheaper. my daughter pays around 300 for a 2 bedroom house so i would say yours is pretty reasonable

I rent a 2 bed detached bungalow for £520 a month, but thats because my landlord is my daughter-in-law!!
We looked at moving recently and cannot get a 2 bed house for under £550 unless it was a dump or had no heating/double glazing and so would cost a fortune in heating.
Rental prices have shot up here in Northants in the last year.

I'd say it's reasonable. I live in a so called low priced area of England and the average rent here is between £400-£500 a month :)

i think thats a bloody good price after seeing some of these answers i`m paying far too much [350monthly] for my one bedroom tiny thing, with nothing in it and the interior is the lowest quality, its not a bad area but i`m not with the elite , i`m being totally ripped off and i get mine of a charitable non-profit organisation, i`m going right now to find somewhere else to live

I think that's good. I pay £260 a month for a 3 bed farmhouse, but that's because it's seriously delapidated.
Elsewhere we would be looking at £500 to £650.

depends where in the country, in Basingstoke, 1 bed house wais £550 / mth and that's cheap. currently in 3 bed for £650 / mth but the going rate is norm £700 for 3bed. Prices will rise though as people can't afford to buy.

650 GBP a month for a 1bed apartment in central birmingham.
when we moved out of our family home when it was being renovated, we paid 4500GBP for a 5 bed detached house in guildford.
In comparison, i'd say 204 is pretty reasonable!
