Some lady called my cell saying she got my number on Myspace. I never put my number on Myspace, and I don't use the mobile services. She comes from a 1-800 number. I have not called back. The number was 1-800-i like pat (or cat or something). Who do you think called me and what should I do?

I am sure you are safe. But, I would suggest talking to your cell phone carrier to see if they can tell you where the call came from.
Also, try googling your phone #, see if it comes up. If it is anywhere, it will come up. By you putting it in the search bar, does not mean anyone else can get it.

Best bet, just change the #
Good luck Hon.

P.S. You didn't say what the lady was calling for?

Maybe one of your friends posted your number on their myspace? Or maybe the lady made it up... she could've type in random numbers and pretended she got it from myspace. However, if you are a little freaked out, call your phone service and file a report.

Good luck!

unless you want to change your number I would just ignore the calls and if she calls again eventually she will get the idea and stop... you should also alert myspace to this problem and give them as much info as you can... was your account phished recently? they could have gotten your phone number then because they could see your personal information.

Don't worry about it. If you are really worried about it, just change your number and if you want to get really paranoid, keep monitoring your credit for awhile in case any other info is out there. Then if anything has been stolen like ss# or anything like that you will know right away.

call the number back from a pay phone and find out what's up. If it's not kosher, change your phone number.
