You're supposed to put on a healthy amount of weight when you are pregnant so stop worrying for one. worrying about something like this will do neither you or the baby any good.

I'm sure that you will be eating a healthy well balanced diet, and as you already have a child, I'm sure you are doing non-stop exercise with the day to day running of your house!!!!

Every pregnancy is different, and this one might just be that you are carrying more amniotic fluid than your previous pregnancy.....and it might be a big baby. This is what I found with my second child (9lb 2oz and an awful lot of water) so the majority shifted itself during the labour!!!!!

Enjoy what is left of your pregnancy, and maybe ensure you have a take time for yourself to go for a walk everyday when possible just for that extra bit of exercise and good luck x

First of all, take a deep breath and relax. Then realise that you are meant to put on 1lb per week until 36 weeks, so you have another 14lbs to put on. DO NOT TRY TO LOSE WEIGHT. I suspect you find exercise difficult to plan around baby no1, tiring and uninspiring. The bad news is that you really need to get out and walk if you are medically able to do so. A half hour gentle stroll to start with working up to a half hour quick walk if you can - or a swim if you prefer swimming.
Also make sure that you are eating a healthy, balanced diet with plenty of fish (no shark or marlin though) and lots of fruit and veggies. I have taken to making a smoothie in the morning with various in-season fruits, milk, pineapple juice, one Weet-Bix and a small handful of All-Bran. Keeps me full for ages, is tasty and is very good for me.
I sympathise as I didn't like taking exercise when I was pregnant and put on almost a stone more than I should (I blamed sore joints due to too much relaxin). I'm now doing something about the extra pounds so I'll be back to square one for baby no2 (I hope!!).
Worrying and stressing will not help babies 1 or 2 (or you or your partner) so keep smiling and remember that tubby people do have healthy babies too.

2nd babies are normally heavier in weight although mine was reversed.
My first a boy i went from 8 stone to 11 stone.....3 stone on.....and he only weighed 6lbs!!!!
My second a girl went from 8 stone to 9.1/2 stone and she weighed 5 pounds although came a month early.
I think on my first preg i had a lot of water retention.
So i would not worry, jut eat 3 meals a day with your snack in the evening.....believe me you should know once he is here the weight will fall off after all the running about you will be doing!!!!!! Enjoy dont fret....be proud it is a time when you are expected to grow big....your protecting your son.
Just put your feet up and start thinking on your names.
Good luck and congratulations for when he arrives.

dont worry about your weight, eat healthy and you will be ok. who cares if when you have had the baby your 11 stone? you should be worried that your baby will be healthy not worrying about your weight, you can lose the weight power walk with your pushchair, breastfeeding worked wonders for me and i,m 8 stone again, it is a scary time thinking you will be a blob after the birth but please dont worry you will lose it it took me only a half a year to lose 5 stone after i had my daughter, i was big because i lived on mcdonalds and chocolate and i was only 17. just eat healthy.

you will be fine xxxxx

Don't listen to the "eat what you want you're eating for two." That can get you in to trouble. You do need to up calcium intake. Just eat right, like chicken, a little bit of fish, just don't eat too much shell fish. Green salads with chicken are great meal. Also, ask your Dr. for a diet-work out program that's right for you. This will help with the weight and you'll be ready for the delivery room. Also it will make it a little easier to get back to your pre-pregnancy weight.

you are going to put on weight just remember that it will come off later on. Just try and be careful what you eat. See this as a chance for you to start a healthy eating plan for you and the new babys sake. Plenty of fruit n veg and just try to cut out junk food its no good for you or the baby

Relax! Weight isn't a issue during the pregnancy. Whatever you eat is for baby& for your strenth. You'll need a lots of it during labour and first 2-4 weeks after labour. You must have healthy balanced diet though: lots of vegs&fruits. No, junk food, please!
Good luck!
