Ok, for Honest, maybe a no smoking sign, but instead of a cigarette, the word deciet?
Faithful, I can only think of Old Faithful, You could write a synopsis to say how thr geiser can be relied upon to act as predicted. Or a dog, dog's always represent faithfulness.
Sounds like a fun assignment, good luck...

What about a picture of Old Faithful, the geyser? It doesn't represent honest, but faithfulness is kind of a given.
For honest, a picture of Abraham Lincoln (or of the Lincoln Memorial) might work.
For either of these you can go to google.com and seach for images of these words.

Before language came into being it was pictures and actions which came from those who wanted to express their emotions and therefore, any picture or action would be more ideal from the person who would like like to express his emotions !!!

honest: open palm hand ( http://guide.uo.com/virtues.html )
faithful: swan or bread (I don't have references for these, I am sure bread is religious reference though)
yahoo search the following:
-symbol for honesty
-symbol for faithful
