Insecure, shy. If they are playing with/ talking on the phone they assume people will leave them alone and not want to interupt. Then there is always the people who are just inconciderate and insist on making you feel like they have better things to do than pay attention to the event taking place. Eh, you never know! :]

it would be hard to say, without knowing their specific situation. it sounds like a habit, which comes from anxiety about something. they may have a mini-addiction. controlling their little world inside the cell phone is easier then trying to balance and control their own life. and remember this comes form not knowing anything about the person.

I'm a fidgiter, so sometimes I just play with the antenna. That could be it, or they could be bored or anxious. And then there's those who have this constant need to be attached to the world around them at all times. They are a little nuts.

either the person is bored or that person doesn't want to socialize. Some people want to avoid socializing by playing . It sends a message like " I'm busy playing don't talk to me". Another theory is that person might simply be an addict gamer.

someone who needs some attension and just cant let go of electronics for 1 day and someone who is rude.
