Require term limits.

I think I have read, but can not quote, studies or books that have the position that new politicians are all about doing the job like they are supposed to...but the opportunity to get tremendously wealthy is just too much.

Again. The addage: Why would someone pay 2 million dollars in 4 months to get a job that paid 100K per year - for 4 years. Piss poor return on investment!

How darn long has ted kennedy been in office. That is just wrong.

MOST of them are...but I really think most of them do NOT start that way. That's why it will never change.

We have one in our state who ran in his fifties, as an already wealthy & powerful businessman, and he has thus far remained true to his constituents. Perhaps more men like that should enter the race! (FYI, he IS a Dem, believe it or not!)
