No, the world cup is not fixed...let me explain:
Bermuda is a below average team, as they have not achieved anything of superior standard compared to the other teams - HOWEVER, being out after 156 against India does show that they are improving - OR that India are weakening and breaking
Sri Lanka is a top class side, and will make it to the super eight, no doubt
And Pakistan are not playing well at all - they are just showing their usual selves on the pitch, and nothing better - again, zimbabwe is a weaker side.
Ireland is an improving side too, and as we all know St. Patrick showered his good fortune upon them (only logical explanation right? WRONG) ... in my opinion, Pakistan were just the less determined side, and took it easy knowing that Ireland are weak...

Its a coincidence !! Bermuda is a weaker side in this WC while SriLanka and India are stronger ones so ofcourse these stronger teams would take the opputunaity to raise their run rate agaisnt poor bowling and batting of Bermuda !
Ireland has shown a great deal..if you had watched that match you would have noticed that their fielding was superb and they even bowled well.pakistan was lacking left arm batsman and Danish kanaria .and these weakness have brought Pakistan to a complete destruction plus the pitch was much grassy than usual and it was also somehow surprising and Bob woolmer had complained for that...everything went agaisnt Pakistan and even today while they batted well agaisnt Zimbabawe , it started raining.....things are going very very bad with Pakistan .and luck is not at all favouring them ! big time !

no i think your analogy is wrong because world cup is ICC's premier tournament and there is no way they want to loose the sponsors
and u need to understand that Bermuda is playing for the first time in the world and as far as i know they dont even have a professional team
and regarding pakistan playing badly was cuz they were in a lot of pressure to perform and under pressure teams tend to loose and now that pakistan has nothing to loose and was completely out of pressure
and ireland beating pakistan was a coincedence
it has happened past poor teams have beaten strong teams

Yeah right. Then why only India and Pakistan are under scrutiny? What about RSA, Aus, NZL, SL???
Ind and Pak were toooooooo over-confident of themselves and Pakistan have already paid and India are on the verge of paying for it.
