Don't worry, the process is well under way. Look at today's children. Every day, more and more of us are re-connecting, and many are manifesting without completely breaking the connection.

What happened in February 2003 ?

Over 10,000,000 people ( some sources estimate closer to 30,000,000 ) protesting in the streets of over 7,000 towns and cities worldwide, in over 60 countries. In Rome alone over 3,000,000 people ( the world's largest ever single anti-war demonstration, London 2,000,000, and so on.

Even here, in the relatively tiny and insignificant Caribbean country of the Dominican Republic, people ttok to the streets in their thousands, a phenomenom never before seen here, previously the only street demos were about domestic issues.

The invasion of Iraq nearly didn't happen due to sheer weight of worldwide public opinion. I truly hope and believe that the next similar event will be stopped.

By the same 'sleepy' people your mention in your question.

But ultimately it's up to us, each and every one of us, individually. Don't sit around waiting for 'them' to do it.

Hmmmmm, I need a coke and a BLT on whole wheat...now wake up and go fetch it for me and meet my needs.

1) I'm not asleep.
2) Meet what needs?

Your attitude only projects out negativity, which tells me that your violent, demanding and not very helpful. That somewhere along the way you confused demanding that people people fetch and step is Peace.

Why don't you try taking a step yourself in doing something peaceful.

Talk positively and answer why you don't simply help - if all things have a start - Why don't you start with yourself with helping others and being peaceful.

Oh, wait, negativity is so much more fun - why do anything when I can just B#tch about it instead... Jee, if I just whine and complain - I don't have to actually do anything and I can make it everyone else's fault, because how can little ol' make a difference? I mean I have no control over peace and helping others - I couldn't lift a finger to be peaceful and helpful, because that is some one else's job. Whoa not me...I am not the human race...I am talking about other people as a I spread my negativity and sit back satisfied that I voiced myself.

Whatever - oh, and extra mayo.

There is a philosophy that states that wars are essential to human life. They are what keep us going. (Ever read George Orwell's 1984?) Without wars, there is no need to compete with other countries in the production of nuclear weapons or technology of any sort.

My thoughts coincide with this philosophy to a certain extent. As far as everyone's basic needs, I think that there will always be people who want more power than is their lot. These are the people that induce slave labor and unfit living conditions in a country.

The human race will stop the wars and make sure that everyone's basic needs are met when people realize that power and domination are not the important things. War may always exist, according to the philosophy stated above, but unfit conditions don't have to. When dictators realize that their rule is corrupt and oppressive, when they grow a sense of heart, that is when everyone's basic needs will be met.

When people stop thinking only of themselves, wake up, smell the coffee, and start working for the good of humanity.

Let me see if I understand what people mean when they say stop war. Do you mean if a country is attacked, then they are to do nothing. Are they not to defend themselves? This is meant to be a serious question. There is no war here if the attacked country does not fight back. Is that part of the plan?

As far as basic needs are concerned---if all the basic needs are given to each person, will there be a growing number of people who will opt for that as apposed to working? Is that not what is happening with the generational poor in this country?

Good point,

I mean, if anyone knew that 100000 Iraqis were going to die ( civilians) as a result of that particular war, what kind of person would have started it in the first place?

Look at the size of the universe and how unique life might be, look at how well we look after animals, especially endangered ones ( could be better though). It's time to look after us, the humans, all colours, all languages , all people, as a team, united as one.

If there's repeated drought, move the people to better pastures, if you knew just how special we are, you would work together in a blink.

It won't. Human greed, instinctive self interest and a natural tendency toward the path of least resistance when it comes to moral dilemmas by the vast majority of mankind ensure that we will go the way of the Dodo before to long.
To avoid this we must all teach our children different lessons from those that we received, because they obviously didn't work, I can no more change the world than you. Somehow we must empower our descendants in ways which we can only dream of and hope they use that power better than we have.

In 50 years we'll be at 10 billion souls at our current rate of growth, with zero fossil fuels, zero coal and other natural resources. Wars will be over water, the populations will be centered in third world countries. Will technology save the day?....doubtful. Will we continue our destructive ways not worrying about the impending train wreck?.....likely.

Some cataclysmic event will bring our population down to 3 billion....a more sustainable level......sorry

As long as there are humans that will never happen. Life doesn't balance out like that unfortunately. If it was as simple as people just doing the right thing and life being fair then someone like Hitler would have died at birth and Nelson Mandella wouldn't have spent half his life in prison.

When we all learn to share every thing, learn to accept every one as they are, learn how not to be greedy, do away with natural disasters, and figure out a way of disabaling all wepons that are used for fighting.
