a close friend of mine of the same sex (female) and I have been friends for 10 yearsl. we are both married but strongly rather be with each other intimately. we have both suppressed these feelings and not acted on this for years but the strength pulling us together is very forceful. we have hesitated because of "it's not the thing to do" but the only way for our true happiness is to be together. how do you tell your husband, children and family a thing like that and should we just leave it alone?

I am in a very similar situtation. Me and my friend are very close and have been intimate on occasions. But when there is a chemistry between two people it is impossible to ignore. What I've learnt is that ignoring love will only lead to misery for you and your family.
Love doesn't come along very often and you only live once. I say open your feelings with this friend and talk through your options. You are actually a very lucky person to have found this type of connection. Best of luck!

Of COURSE you shouldn't leave this alone! Haven't you ever watched Titanic? You can't ignore true love, and it will only hurt you, your friend, your husband and her husband, not to mention your children (and hers, if she has any), if you leave this alone. Do you really want to lie to your family and make you and your friend unhappy just because you're afraid of what society and your family will think? I know it seems like a hard thing to do, but please do not ignore love. And tell your family sooner rather than later, because the longer the truth is hidden the harder it will when it comes out. Because the truth will come out, whether or not you yourself actually tell your family, so why not just tell your family yourself? It will probably be very hard, but unless you truly dislike your family you can probably remain friends. Follow your heart!!!

You two married guys. Even if the marriage is over, you still need to show them the respect of telling them what's going on. If you two are much more in love with each other and want to be in a monogamous relationship with each other, then you need to tell your husbands it's over and get divorced. It's only fair to them to know. One way might be to sit the four of you down together and tell them together that their marriages are over. They'll both have each other to help them through this and you two will have each other as well as the divorce and everything goes through.

I dont care what proportion thumbsdowns i'm getting. And earlier every physique jumps in that i prefer a greater advantageous lovelife- i'm very chuffed with my husband and he's been there for me by greater then a marvelous type of guys might have. the main INTIMATE 2d we shared to this factor became the start of our final baby(thank god a woman) The final 30 min of hard artwork became spent with my husband retaining me in his hands, finding in his eyes or perhaps nevertheless we've been some distance from on my own in that LDR it became like in basic terms he and that i. No, why should you leave it alone?? I can see where you are coming from, but if the feelings are that strong, then follow your heart. Lots of gay women get married first and then find out they are gay afterwards. You'll just have to break it to your hubby as gently as possible.

staying together for the sake of the kids is NOT a good idea. kids can pick up on wierd vibes like that. we don't give them enuf credit.
