Why does Oprah Winfrey cater to Whites ONLY?????

Oprah Is the Most Uncle Tomish Black Woman in this nation, is she racist towards her own?? I mean she has GIVEN TWO WHITES there on TELEVISION SHOWS and has yet to give one of her own a TELEVISION SHOW I mean there are PLENTY OF BLACK DOCTORS, BLACK CHEFS ETC. WHY DON'T THEY HAVE THERE SHOWS?????????? And she also discriminates against RAP MUSIC, SHe has yet to invite ICE CUBE, WHOSE A DIRECTOR for many of sensible movies that he's directed, Ludacris and others why is that, but she manages to have every COUNTRY SINGER ON HER SHOW WHY IS THAT????? AND also I understand the girls in Africa deserved a school but so did the one's in Chicago, Mississippi and other place over in the U.S I mean black females are just as Apprecative as the black females in Africa so why didn't she put a school over here??? Oprah I respect her because she's a succesful black woman and one of the richest women in the world, but I don't think she is fair anyone who disagrees??

really there is no explanation i guess she doing it for her own image and sometimes "catering" white people improves your image sad to say it works...look @ her now a billionare and all she did was work hard and cater to the people she know she can munipulate and put her name on (if you know what i mean) well in all this is my opinion on why she caters to whites.

she doesn't care about color. It is coincidental that the people she helped are majority white( according to you, I don't even think this is true). Also, the schools in Africa were for girls who had NO school. The girls in Chicago have schools, they may not be great, but they're there. As for the ice cube and Luda thing. First off, I like Ludacris, but I don't care for Ice cube. His music is wak and his movies are com compositionally garbage. Anyways, Oprah doesn't support negative people, which they are because they generally rap about illegal activity, drugs, and violence. They are the people that give negative ideas to black youth. It would be dumb to support them. Except, Ludacris has made some positive songs.
Finally, she didn't give those shows to the other white people. Producers saw that when they were on Oprah, they had interested audiences and saw good independent show opportunities.

I strongly disagree. Yes she gave two white people there own t.v. shows and i can understand why that can be questionable so i have not comment on that. And just because she don't want to put rappers on her show that always rap about booty, a**, and what they own all the time does not make her raciest. I'm black and I would not wan them on my show either. Those rappers are the ones who have the black society messed up to day. That's why boys don't have respect for girls and this why girls don't have respect for themselves because of the songs the rappers make and the girls and half necked on the videos shaking their a** every where. And how is she being raciest if she helping kids in Africa. She helping Africans who don't have a chance too go to school like we do because the systems don't work in Africa like it does in America. In Africa kids don't have school they don't go to school. In America kids don't have a school in there area the government make them go to school close in there area until they are of age to decide if they still want to go to school or not. I think Oprah is doing more then any other black person in America.

I don't think Oprah caters to whites only, but to people who are hard working and talented enough to deserve their own shows.
I'm sure she doesn't have rap "singers" on her show so as not to condon their discusting, violent lyrics. She has tried so hard for years to eliminate the horrible violence in the world, especially against women and children.
And as for opening a school in Africa, maybe it's because they have so little and need the help. They've certainly never seemed to do anything for themselves so far and if someone can get them to accomplish something other than living in poverty, cowering to men and dying from Aids because of them, then more power to her.
I also respect Oprah, but as a woman who has been able to really accomplish a lot in her life against all the odds woman have against them to be able to become someone in this still very male dominated world.
Grow up and quit being so racist.

Oprah caters?

It seems strange to respect someone for being rich.

I think Oprah has the same rights as anyone - it's her show and she can do what she wants. Oprah has given millions to charities overseas, but even more to charities here in the USA. She gives voice to many causes, but doesn't call attention to every person who she helps.

As for her guests - I don't watch very often, but I see the previews. I see every end of the spectrum on her show. Rich, poor, black, white, whatever.

Oprah can't fix everything. Go to her website and email a suggestion for a show topic. Maybe your frustration could turn into a show topic and you could be a guest.

Ya never know.

Oh, by the way - I think she got her friend Gail a tv show awhile back. It bombed.

How can you compare girls in Chicago to the ones in Africa??? They have nothing over there!!! We have everything here! Oprah is the MOST fair person! You on the other hand think just because she's black she should only give to blacks???? Oprah has done more for all the people of all colors in this world than you can even think of doing!!! I personally do not care what Oprah does with her money. I believe she was raised to give her money away as a Christian and I believe she has a right to give her money to anyone she thinks deserve it.

I have never seen a lot of blacks on Oprah either but I do not think there are a lot of blacks who are calling for tickets to her show.

If you do not like Oprah do not watch her. I like Ellen better. Even if she is is gay! I think she is cute as a button and she reminds me of a friend in VA. but that is just me.

I feel you 100% - But - her program does not cater to blacks - it is for middle and upper class white woman. That is why she has been on the air so long. You saw what they did to Arsenio Hall when he brought Farrakhan on the show! I do not like the fact that she does not deal with subject matter that truly affects us. She has a powerful platform - you saw what happened when she spoke against the beef companies. But like I said - if she got controversial they would remind her she was black real quick!

since people normally associate her type of wealth to white people maybe she is tryin to fit in with whites...rap music does not define the black race she doesnt have to like it because she is black...and of course shes gonna donate to Africa it earns her more publicity and respect and also helps racists to portray Africa as this stuggling nation when in fact that is not the case
