Go and get yourself some tampons any way and tell your mom that's not her choice it's yours!!If you are old enough to have your period it's up to you to decide what is appropriate for you!I know pads suck and unless you have to wear them-who wants to sit in there period stuff and stink?Tampons are way better just read the label and use them properly because they do have serious things you need to be aware of when using them like-TSS-toxic shock syndrome.Good luck i am not trying to tell you to not listen to your mom but it's your body!

Maybe try to explain to your mom that tampons are safe for virgins or borrow one from a friend and tell her you tried it and whether you liked it. I remember when I first used a tampon my mom asked me how I knew where to put it- I told her I wasn't a complete idiot. Maybe just talk to her or use them in secret and don't say anything- thats the best I can say, its kind of strange for her to feel that way.

That is an old myth/wives tale. You are old enough to have your period, you are old enough to use tampons. My mother thought the same way. My doctor told her she was completely wrong. I've been using them ever since and that's been over 25 years. LOL
Sorry, Mom. This one is wrong. Let the girl use the tampons. They are not going to hurt her in any way.

well go with your moms wishes, you only have your period 5 days a month so its not that bad. If you do go and use them without her permission then you have to learn about the dangers of tampons first.

well how old are you?!?!?!? i would say if you were under 15 No....not yet.....however it is something you'll have to use adventually. Do you have an older sister or a close aunt? I had a teammate who's mother didn't want her kids using it because some people can get sick from it.
It's you're body....you're mom will have to get over that.

tell her shes so wrong and take her to the doctor, maybe they can explain her how wrong she is
pads are nasty, oh and so not comfortable!!
what year is she leaving in!!!
