I have an error message?

Question

when i go to start up my computer, i get this blue screen and it basically tells me to check for viruses and unplug any newly installed hardware(i had just my webcam, so i unplugged it) any way, can someone please tell me how to fix this? thanks (PS- im on my friends computer, so please dont leave smart remarks...thanks!)

if you r running windows XP, 2000 or ME try to enter in safe mode, to do that you have to reboot your PC, and as soon you do that, start pressing the F8 key, a black screen will promt, there you have to choose "safe mode", when the OS is loaded, you'll see safe mode, on every corner of the screen, then just try to uninstall the software of the web cam, if that doesn't work, instead of choosing safe mode, choose "my last known good configuration", and if also that doesn't work, try safe mode again, and go to menu / accessories / system tools / system restore, then you'll have a calendar and you'll be able to choose a date to restore your PC as it was before the issue, this process is totally reversible and it doesn't affect your PC at all. (this last process only works on XP).
