I grew up in the 70's. I went roller skating every weekend, listened to Kasey Kasem on American Top 40, people at school still actually fought with their fists instead of knives and guns. Those were the days.

Well, I was a child of the 70's and a teen of the 80's, but I was always partial to the Rennaissance and the dark ages- but only if I had been nobility. I've always wanted to wear those dresses!
I guess I still could today in some circles, but those SCA people are weird. No offense to SCA members, but I know you people, and you would agree with me.

I grew up in the late 70's early 80's... but I always loved the early 50's era... I loved Leave it to Beaver; and wanted our life to be that "simple"

I loved the 70s. I loved the folk music, save the whale, care about the environment and love your fellow man parts. I loved that we were involved, for better or worse, and that we had passions for the world around us and trying to improve it. I loved that we didn't want to tie ourselves to the rigid 8-to-5, work in a factory, have 2.7 children, 2 martini suburban lifestyle.
Of course, the downside was, as always, there were people who took advantage and took it to extremes. The people who thought consciousness came in illegal substances or stupid behaviors, and didn't care what they did to themselves or to others.
I miss the passion for causes and the concern we had for the planet and people. I miss the music you could feel and sing to.
(*lol*) I miss when "Hippie" described a lifestyle and not a body shape.

The 90's because of the music, styles & memories of that time. Also, it's kind of all I remember the best, since I was born in the 80's.

Well, for me it was the 80's. I loved the music, still do. The bell-bottoms,spandex, leg warmers, & the crazy eye shadow; were to die for. People really knew how to live back then!
