What?? Newspapers are notoriously biased! As are weeklies like Time, Newsweek, etc. Internet, unbiased? Come on.

The print media has been severely crippled by over 300 laws on free speech .
So no matter what media you turn to the best you can hope for is a Britney or Paris or some other celebrity type news .
To mention anyone else you would need a conviction in a court of law and in some case even that is no cure to printing the news .
With dozens of laws holding back any real news we have lost our press to reporting only gossip and hard news is gone .

Reading is simply too much HARD WORK, it is much easier to be spoon fed half truths and wholesale lies that conform to the way you are SUPPOSED to think and behave.
If you are continually told the same thing over and over, many will simply accept it as fact. This has been true throughout human history.
Somebody here answered that newspapers, magazines and the internet are all biased as well. Of course they are as all stories are written by someone and their beliefs often become part of the story. But if you use your brain to sift through multiple news sources, you will be far better informed as opposed to accepting one source as irrefutable fact.
You can still however only take the info that backs up your present opinions if you choose, but you may learn something new.

Media means all news media including newspapers and Internet postings. Libble dribble is libble dribble where ever you find it. There are not many reporters left in the world. The news media is hell bent on making news, warping the news and they have no qualms about flat lying about the news. They do have a problem with reporting the actual news. So I am going to complain about the liars and the so called reporters who come up with forged documents and present them to us as the gospel truth. It isn't right and I don't have to accept it.Give me the facts, just the facts and only the facts. Don't try to confuse me with your opinion of the facts or your interpretation of what you think the facts could mean. That is my message to the NEWS media.I think I need a nap.

I never watch TV, but if I do it's some comedy show like AquaTeen Hunger Force or Wonder Showzen. The problem though is not the networks spamming their crap, but also the people on Yahoo Answers spamming it and altering what the actual report says.
It's sad when a what supposed to be comedy spiff media show is more serious than our nations media (e.g. Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert)

I do turn 'em off when I can't find a "Neutral" one on.
But it would be nice if there was a wider choice of "Fair & Balanced" news outlets to choose from?!
The fact that they've pretty much taken over is madening none-the-less! These news outlets are also "Brain-washing" the masses just through repetition, if nothing else... making the ignorant MORE ignorant - and that's even more infuriating to me!
More and more, I have to listen to ignorant "Boneheads" parroting what they heard on the news about something or someone with NO reasonable thought on their own!... just mimmicing what they heard as if it were gospel, (or worse - as if it was their own idea)!!!
It's affecting the mentality of the masses... negatively! We, as a once intelligent nation, are being dumbed down!

Isn't the newspaper a part of the media? The media is supposed to be an unbiased source of reporting news. How can we be sure what's being reported is really what's happening if we can't trust those telling us?

Actually you are right. I think the reason these people think the media is biased is because that's what they're told by talk radio hosts.
