I need a book...?

I want a book that relates to "The Bell Jar" or a similar writing style, although that will be incredibly difficult to find, any suggestions? just any good book will help, and give me a short summary of what it's about

How about "I Never Promised You A Rose Garden" by Joanne Greenberg? It's about a girl who has a nervous breakdown and creates a fantasy world. Many times it is assigned as a companion piece to Bell Jar as is Catcher in the Rye. It's an older title.

Girl, Interrupted might also be a possibility.
