It means that he wants to control and manipulate your by breaking down your self esteem and making you subservient to him. You need to divorce him. Leave and completely break off all contact with him in the process. If you allow him to talk to you (send messages, etc.), he will continue to try to manipulate you. You deserve far better than what he is giving you and it is up to you to take care of yourself.

I believe he is trying to make you feel this way so that you think he is the only one that would ever have you. He is making you feel small so that you would never leave him for someone else. Sounds like a control freak to me......
