I remember it...barely. It wasn't Doris Roberts (Everybody Love Raymond) that was on it, it was Jean Stapleton (Edith Bunker from All In The Family), she was the reason that I watched it.

It only lasted for 15 episodes, that's why I barely remember it.

god yes i had totally forgot about this programme, i loved it so funny.

about Brenda (whoopi Goldberg) and Jasmine (Jean Stapleton) who were both separated from their husbands.

I remember clearly when Debbie (Brenda;s daughter) came out wearing this short skirt and and Whoopi turns and says

"Girl you know you wanna go find the rest of that outfit"

and another episode where Brenda is in a queue in some offices she gets to the counter and the man says " And you are"? to which Whoopi replies "Pre-menstral"

so funny and thanks for reminding me of this great comedy

I remember the movie but I didn't see it. I've also seen a Baghdad Cafe along a deserted road in the Syrian desert, no lie! We stopped and had tea there and took photos.

Yes, I remember it well, I liked that movie. However, I almost never consciously hear the music in movies so can't help you there. I think the movie was actually based on a stage play.
