That is indeed a problem, Is it the worst problem you can have,
I work as a programmer in a major bank. I used to go in every week, work my 40 hours (more like 50, but hey) and get paid a nice salary. It was a nice job in a good company, my boss was a good guy, my co-workers were neat people and the work was OK.
But as time passed, I felt like something was missing. Work was comfortable and secure, but I felt that there were sides of me that I never really got to use. I wanted to do work I could really feel proud of. I wanted to make more of a difference. And mostly, I was never really excited about work.
So I asked myself what it would take to improve things.
Leave your job or stay which can make you sick or even kill you. I went from feeling OK about my job to feeling really bad about it,,,
if there is much pressure on you to change. when your job isn’t bad for you. It’s certainly much..
the thing's what's the effects on you if you let it go!!

Well, I've definitely been there in the past. The best thing I did was find another job. It refreshed me and made me excited about working again. Plus it put me in a place where I could grow and expand. I am still here and happy.

It sounds like you need a position where you can grow and expand. It's okay to not like your job. It happens to all of us at one point of another. It is great that you like your boss and coworkers - believe me, it's not always that way. Have you thought about researching your company to see if there are any positions you could advance to. Sometimes even a horizontal job move within your company helps mix it up enough to give you the change that you need. If you are really miserable there, and there isn't any opportunity for change within your company, you will probably be doing yourself and the company a favor to look for another job. The longer you are miserable, the more it affects your attitude. Eventually it shows in a person's work and you don't want the quality of your performance to go down the tubes. There is a lot out there, don't limit yourself, and keep your mind open to new opportunities! Good Luck! :-)

Looks like you already know the answer to this question! The best time to look for another job is while you still have one. Identify the part of your job that you LOVE and those parts that you do not, and focus a search to find a better match. Do this now before the job has an impact on your attitude or performance! Especially before it has an impact on your health.

Also, when you start looking, you may realize that you don't have it so bad where you are :)
