Enterprise had so much potential, I don't even know where to begin...except they ruined it. Eventually it got to repetitive, not to mention it started showing non family friendly material in every episode. They also had technology that was new and not so improved, so they had a much less chance of winning in a fight (although this was cool). They didn't even have shields! Their characters stank, and their technology looked to nice (i.e. their tricorders were smaller than those on the original, giving the impression that they were newer)...
Anyway, that's about it.

Yes. It just isn't FUN. Most of the Star Trek series was fun. Green women who need to be taught about Love? A Fistful of Datas? Q? And the characters were fun, too. I mean, you can imagine going out drinking with the characters and laughing about how many screwups they've been in, you know?
Then Enterprise. The characters were blah, the aliens were blah (except maybe for the doctor, the one-trick wonder, sigh), and the plot tried to be epic but wound up just being painful. T'pal annoyed the heck out of me, too -- I'm watching this show for the story, not for someone's body parts, thank you very much. Not every sci fi fan is a lonely teenage boy.

The problem I had was the technology of the the panels, engines ect. looked more advanced than Capt. Kirk's enterprise. This was suppose to be much earlier then that time frame, plus it was very dark as far as the uniforms, color scheme and lighting. Some of the characters were likeable Archer,Hoshi, trip. Star trek is about moralistic stories, family ( which is the relationships of the characters) not about blowing things up. It strayed too far from Gene Rodenberry's vision. I'm glad Rick Berman is no longer involved in Star Trek.

I didn't mind the premise so much. But my problem with all the different Trek series, except for the original and TNG, was the serialization. The first series was about adventure and discovery, which is always fresh exciting and fun. TNG kept that sense of adventure and discovery, but DS9, Voyager and Enterprise all got wrapped up in political scenarios and diplomatic story lines. Who cares!

Well you are actually a couple of years late asking this question since it was cancelled in 2005.
That being said I actually liked it. It wasn't as touchy-feely as the early episodes of Voyager or the episodes of TNG that revolved around Counselor Troi.
One thing I did find strange about it was because of the improvements in special effects it looks more advanced than the original series which is supposed to take place 100 years after Enterprise.

I've just started watching Enterprise and so far my biggest disappointment is with the characters. I've always liked Scott Bakula, but here at Enterprise he reminds me of the cheesy captain on the sci-fi parody movie Galaxy Quest. Bad acting, no feeling of tension, intensity, suspense or dimension in his character. The stories aren't bad, that's what keeps me watching.

That series sucked a whole bag of . It was horrible. I didn't think they could do any worse than Voyager, but they did.
TNG was great, so was DS9. Enterprise was horrible.

I have tried to like it, but can't. I like all the other star treks, so I'm not sure why I can't get into this one. Oh well, maybe it's trekkie burnout.
