I have a 2001 Accent, and the car bucked really hard and the light came on..I took it to the dealer and they said there wasnt anything wrong...I mustve hit ice. I have never heard of this, and I think they are bsing me; they just put the tranny in it less than 20,000 miles ago. Any ideas on how I can make the gears shift more smoothly?

its not the check fuel light its a engine light and that means there is a code that came up most likely the trans. have the dealer run the codes for free sense they worked on it last.
if they don't. bring it to a shop for a quote. if its the trans bring the quote to the dealer. if they do not fix it tell them you will have the shop fix at there cost sense its under warranty

It really could have been a slick spot. If your wheels are spinning on ice, etc. and you hit a dry patch, you will feel a "bucking" as the drivetrain adjusts to the actual speed of the vehicle.

If you think you have transmission problems, and it is under warranty, have a different dealer look at it.

Sounds like what ever made your car 'buck' did something to the fuel guage in your fuel tank.
Is there a Tech Bulletin on the problem?
Sounds like you are being jerked around big time. What does ice have to do with anything. (Do you have ABS brakes, and if you do did you use your brakes?)
Tell them you'll report them to the Better Business Bureau.
