Got no problem with Barry.
Don't know if he will break The Babe's Record, or Aaron's Record, or have a police record. He's a great player, and long before any allegations was a great player, a triple threat.
He's a no-brainer Hall of Fame member, except that the voters won't vote him in on the first ballot and maybe never.
Of course, if they were voting for the drunks of the 1900s they probably would have no voted for them. Oh well, it's a shame.
Bonds has had a great career, I've been lucky to see him in person in the early 1990s and as recently as two years ago. He's amazing.

I HATE BARRY BONDS HE IS A CHEATER. HE WON'T GET IN2 THE HALL OF FAME but he might break hank aaron's record, BUT there will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS be the ? of if he really did take steriods so not every1 is gonna honor him like hank aaron (even though when hank aaron broke set the record not every1 honored him either) and i will send barry bonds a nasty piece of hate mail if he does break the record.
IF THERE IS A GOD SOMEWHERE UP THERE AND IF BARRY BONDS IS REALLY A CHEATER (WHICH HE IS) THEN HE WON'T LET HIM BREAK HANK AARON'S RECORD.

I don't hate him, but I have lost a lot of respect for him over the years and not just for the drug use. He has also not consistantly treated, fans, writers, and teammates with respect. I wouldn't want him on my favorite team.
And I don't think he belongs in the hall of fame. People say he was a great player before he started using steroids and other illegal performing enhancers. Thats true, but Pete Rose was also a great player before he started to bet on baseball. Should he also be in the hall of fame?
Without the juice, there is no way he would have been able to hit 70 HRs in a season and he would not be going for this current record.

Is he a great player...no doubt. Do I want to see him get the home run record...don't really care, records are made to be broken. Does he deserve it...probably not, but until the league takes some of the bite out of the player's union, no one will probably know for sure. Does he deserve to be in the HOF...ha, well, yes and no, and it's probably not entirely his fault (don't take that as sympathy for him--he put himself in a questionable, at best, situation). Fact is there's about one-quarter of the players in the Hall that some feel don't deserve to be there. If you take Barry's stats alone from the Pirates, yes, he's probably one of the greates 5 tool players ever in the game. Unfortunately, the drug allegations, injuries as of late, his explosive attitude toward fans/media/teammates, and his hanging on to the game for way too long now all hurt his first ballot chances. Most likely he'll eventually make it, as long as Bud Selig (read as George Bush's retarded cousin) doesn't make an example of him and his drug record stays inconclusive.

Yes I do.He lied in court, cheated in baseball, has the nastiest attitude in the history of baseball and is racist(yes he is).If he had just came out and told the trutch after all this happend maybe people wouldn't hate him as much.No but he has to lie and cheat some more, blame everything on someone else etc, etc. He does not deserve to pass Aaron or even pass Omar Vizquel(73 carrer home runs)on the all time list.He is a shame to the game of baseball and deserves to be kicked out.Trust me on this don't admire people like Bonds, admire someone who's good and doesn't cheat.Pujols,Santana,Hafner,Ortiz or someone else. Not Bonds.

Yes and no, I think he should tell the truth and if it was a "accident" he should take responsibility for it I mean really. If you grow 200 pounds over th summer then have a huge season I think he would be asking the trainer some questions. If he gets close to Aaron he should take second place because cheating did in fact take place. It would be cool ig he were to take responsibility for once and stop weeping.

I have some repsect for Barry Bonds, but the guy used sterioids, lied to the press, and cheated the GAME of baseball...He shouldnt be elected into the Hall Of Fame , because without steriods he would be condsidered just a ''good'' quality player. Sterioids gave him muscle strength and without using sterioids in the last 06 season he sucked, age had some part to do with it but sterioids gave him that extra ''boost'' like energy juice...Dirty energy juice, I give him credit, without sterioids he'll still be Barry Bonds, but not as good as Barry Sterioids Bond....

i dont hate him but i dont like him. not cuz hes playing for the giants but because hes an arrogant buffoon who thinks he is owed attention; his own teammates dont care for him much either, specially after he got busted for amphetamines and blamed it on another teammate who had nothing to do with it. the only reason he may break that record is because steroids, not barry bonds, is doing it.
