for the person that said for asthma.. Yeh they are used for asthma, but its a different kind of steriod, your not prescribed anabolic steriods for asthma, its another form of steriod. I used some cream a while ago which was steriod based, but again its nothing to do with anabolic steriods (bodybuilding steriods)

Bodybuilders use anabolic steriods. They are used for recovery. When you train a body part, the muscle has to recover and repair its self. Steriods speed the recovery process up alot, thus allowing the muscle to grow. People who are trying to build muscle naturally do not recovery as fast as steriod users, and thats why there muscles dont grow aswell. Building muscle is all about training the muscle, resting, and eating lots of food (protein and carbs) to feed the muscle.

Steriods can also be use to recover from muscle injuries quicker
