My wife is usually quite placid but turns into a proper Shark for the first hour or so in the morning. Why is that?

LOL! So do I, until I have my coffee. I am just not a morning person. I usually try to just not say a word, but I can guarentee you that my husband will say something and it will set me off. And the bad part of it, is what he says is usually no big deal, he says one thing, and in my grumpy, not quite awake state, I hear something else. I'm sure my hubby can relate to what you go through in the morning, I know I can relate to your wife.

Because the morning is a horrible time of day and women like to be left in piece to wake up properly. I am glad that I am not the only women who suffers morning shark atacks.

usually because we are left to get the kids up and sorted for school, then make the old man a cuppa, then get the washing on and do the housework, all before we can make ourselves look human, and then sit down and finally have a cuppa!

most people are grumpy first thing in the morning. not just your wife and not just women.
it may have something to do with not having her caffiene dose yet....

Testosterone is lowest in the morning for women and highest in the morning for men. She's just jealous...

I've wondered this too!!! My boyfriend was always so sweet in the morning and I was so grouchy! I didn't mean to be, it just happened and I have no idea why! If I kissed him while he was sleeping, he would smile and hug me. If he kissed me, I got grouchy and rolled over! I just couldn't help it!

because we hate the fact that men wake up looking good, women wake up looking squashed, we need tea, morning attention (ahem) and your credit card left on the side with a note saying "get yourself something nice hunni!".

well, women want to be alone in the morning, if you talk to her, just agree w/ watever she is saying and let her have time to get ready and fully wake up.
