That's an easy one. Do nothing and when there is only one left .... bingo you know who is responsible...

I had a problem with disappearing fish once, and could not figure out what was happening to them. It turned out I had a predatory snail. It would wait at the top of the tank and drop down when the fish were stopped under it (e.g. sleeping).
Nasty little thing took a dozen neons.

They most probably have been eaten. I raised tropical fish for quite awhile and found my zebras and guppies were disappearing. I soon realized that a couple of my Angel fish (who had become quite large for the size of tank I had) had gone cannibal on me and were the guilty ones. I ended up selling them, and the rest lived happily ever after.

Search around under rocks and things. Any other fish in the tank? They might have eaten them. Or they could have died and the other fish could have eaten the body.

If all your fish are missing then maybe they all went under a ornament or up the filter but if there are still some you can see then maybe the ones you can see ate them.

Maybe your angel fish ate them. Dispite their name they are aggressive fish. They could have gotten chewed on then eaten by the group. Watch your tank more closely then you will know.

Either they died and were eaten by bigger fish or they jumped out (check the floor).

Well, either they are eating each other or they're doing what my one goldfish did and are jumping out of the tank.
