In Science I have a B now which is luck because in first and second quater I had a D. In math first quater I had a D second quater a B and third quater is almost done and I have a C. This isn't good enough. me and my mom have a deal and if I can get all A's and B's I can get an ipod. And I really want one and its sad cause some of my teachers even have one. I need to do well in these subjects. I don't really like my teachers. I get math but it almost always gives me a headache. And the only thing I get i n science would be balancing equations. My real problem is Moles. Can come one help me? I need some advice on what to do. I've even talked to my guidence counselor about a tutor she said she'd work on it for science and that was months ago. I want to be a Pharamacist which means I need both math and science.

Don't let your guidance counselor forget about you! Ask again. Try some other path to get a tutor. Don't be like my daughter, who refused to learn from a teacher she didn't like. Ask questions of other students. Since your mom is interested in your grades, ask your mom for help!

Practice. Do extra problems and ask for help. Maybe there's another teacher who teaches the same subject.

I took AP calculus and ended up staying after school twice a week to practice and get help. I could tell my teacher wanted to hug me and spin me around (but of course that's taboo) when I walked in the door the day he got our scores. I got a 4 (out of 5). It's not perfect, but everyone knew how hard I worked on it and it was still a good score.

So put in the effort and do the best you can. Don't give up. The respect you earn from your teachers and parents is even better than the grade or ipod you'll receive.

I am bad at those subjects, too. To bring my math grade up, I went to firstinmath.com. If you do not have an account there (only teachers can make accounts) then here is one:

There are about 940 stickers (points) on there. To bring my science grade up, I did extra credit projects and got an automatic A+ on the test and an A on the project.

Find another tutor- maybe one of those learning centers.
