False. It was more like 60%. However only about 30% actually fought. Less than that were actual members of the Continental Army. Most of the American military consisted of rebels, farmers and the like.

After the King put taxes on things, like stamps act, tea the colonist were very upset and and against the King. The following was very large % even though most did not have to fight in the war. Remember, larger area, small places where the war really happened.

False. While 33% may have PARTICIPATED in the revolutionary war, the reason they were here was to avoid religious and ethnic persecution. Many supporters were not directly involved in the war.

It wouldn't surprise me. Many were hard-core loyalists to the Crown of England.
