not if children are on thier mums or dads passport. i am still on my mums pasport and there isn actually no problem

All European (and elsewhere) countries requiere that all incoming persons carry valid passports, regardless of age. Do not make the mistake to think that US State Department or Immigration rules cover all travel requisites everywhere and for everyone.

No they cant.They wud definately need a passport.As long as they want to travel especially internationally,they wud need one.Usually when they are younger they share a passport with either one of their parent.As they grow older,they shud have one of their own.Cheers!
