After meeting her and being away for 5yrs and
only contacted her once, and when I saw her again
she was still single and said she was waiting for
me well then I knew she was the one for me and
that's when we got married a year later and have
been for 20yrs, 1month and 3 days.

It was a feeling in my heart and well all over my body and I do not mean her you know when something is right or just feels good you get all a tingle throughout your body well that is the way I feel about my wife it's been almost 8yrs now. I'm not saying everything has been easy peasy if you go into any relationship thinking that you are destined to fail. I'm just saying when you find the right person you can climb the highest peaks and work through any problems, if you have God in your life too that helps.
She loved me for me, she has always supported me in everything, she has been loving and caring from the beginning and well the sex is pretty darn awesome as well.
I do think it is her independent spirit and that she strives to achieve her own goals in life. She is hot and sexy and well
just so great I haven't the words to describe her other then saying she is incredible.

There is no one all conclusive sign that she was. We just try to find the best available to us, try to visualize building a future life and family with her combined with current feelings and then go for it. But then the entire world knows men are stupid and in all reality we havent the slightest clue on how to know if shes the one. We just try and go with the one most likely capable of putting up with us and then pray to God for the rest. Most of us have a general idea of our "perfect" mate, and then pray like hell we find her or someone close enough, but then have no idea in hell what to do with her or how to be the perfect mate back to her once we do find her. Most men have no idea what to do with their very own life, lone less sharing it with someone else. We just hope you females do, and know how to get us males to perform. Majority of the world males look for a female thats a good cook (easiest way to our hearts) and lovers. Theres no sense looking for one who is smart because us males have no idea whats going on around us and we are too busy anyway destroying the earth to converse. And you have the gumption to ask us males how we know the right woman; we havent a clue. By the way been married 27 years to the same beautiful woman who gave me two wonderful daughters, now adults who have made us grandparents. Good luck

I didn't know. I still don't know. But I am sure that there is no one else better for me. Why? Because, I realized a long time ago, that she really truly loves me in-spite of all my short comings and inadequacies. And that is important enough for me to remember whenever the question arises: Did I do the right thing? or Is she the right one.

Seems like you'd be better off asking the single men what they are really looking for in a relationship.

Love is by choice. You chose to love, to marry and continue to love.
