Yes, 13 is too young to have a "real" job. Focus on your school work! Anyway, here are some other ideas:
Jobs
There are many ways you can earn money. I babysit and I get paid very well. But I think you have to be 13-14 to start.
My Rates
1-2 kids ~ $5.00/hour
Each additional child ~ $1.25/hour
*When you are babysitting a baby under 10 months old, you should ask to be paid a bit more than your regular charge, since you must give more attention, change the baby, feed the baby, and put the baby to bed.
Another Idea is to have a bake sale/ lemonade stand. Me and my sisters baked all week, made poster signs and decided how much we should charge for each baking good. Any age is perfect for this job!
Another good job is to start a walking dogs for neighbours that have dogs. You can either put up posters around town, or hand out fliers to people you know that have dogs. I would charge 5 dollars per dog.
Another good job is to wash cars, or open a car wash business with friends for a few days, mow the lawn, shovel drive ways in the winter, and help people clean there house that might need help.
If are 14 years or older, you could also work at fast food restaurants, or grocery stores too.

Set up the studio to your apartment, otherwise you might do apartment calls, however be certain to have an grownup with you in both case. Remember to put it on the market your self, and truthfully have the digicam and vital provides to hand. Consider babysitting. You will have to be approximately 11 or twelve, even though your guardian/father or mother could difference that typical. Show that you are a accountable child, put it on the market, and notice it drift from there. House take a seat/puppy take a seat for a buddy who is going away. Water the vegetation, feed the iguana; that type of factor. Make certain you do a well task and not anything is out of position, due to the fact any screwup is mechanically going to be your fault. Get an allowance, if you do not have already got one. Bring it up casually, and begin small. After a month or 2, you'll ask for a little bit extra coin. Teach any of your targeted competencies. Maybe the child down the road desires to be taught learn how to skateboard, be taught algebra, or do the limbo, and you are the one one they recognise who can learn how to do it. Depending at the man or woman, and the way determined they (otherwise you) are, you'll get all forms of cash. Get permission earlier than doing whatever. If making a decision to image, instants and virtual cameras are your first-class bets. Advertise, put it on the market, put it on the market!Be certainly certain your lemonade (or different meals stuffs) is blank and chilled. If your consumers get in poor health, it is your fault, and the whole lot can blow up to your face. Keep your stand for your block, no longer on any individual's estate. This is unlawful, and is known as intrusion/trespassing/loitering. It incorporates a few rough punishments. Never take pics of persons whilst they're unaware. They can flip this towards you, and also you simply could get the 'pervert' label. There are plenty of sickos available in the market, so be wary with the images! Never cross to a strangers apartment by myself (with out an grownup, 16 12 months ancient), and do not allow someone within your apartment if you are the one one there. Be smart with the digicam. Take blank pics most effective. Pets are lovely, however tackle too many and you are in for crisis! Never lodge to the 'soiled' (medications, running the road, and so on) strategy to earn a living. You're nonetheless a child, you do not want in poor health recollections demanding your mind.

Depends upon what you think a real job is.
My son was 13 when he started lawn mowing and snowshoveling. He had business cards and a dern good business.

Yes, enjoy your childhood while you can...it's all you have. You have parents to pay the bills and buy you the things you need. If there are extras that you would like and parents can't afford it, then maybe a small babysitting job. Don't blow your future on wanting a job now...you will have plenty of time to work...trust me.

No. It's a good time for teens to get some early responsibility, and to know that money does not grow on trees. However, it should not interfere with their schoolwork. Teach them to maximize their time and learn how to handle differenet demands on their time.
