Okay. We're not meant to flush them away, but what does everyone do with theirs? I use nappy sacks, but then have to carry the offending item downstairs. Or I find I've run out of nappy sacks upstairs and then don't know what the hell I'm supposed to do with it.
Why oh why have they introduced a wonderful new towel with a teensy little wipe that is neither use nor ornament, when providing the user with some sort of disposal bag would be far more helpful.
I would be interested to hear of anyone's ingenious ways of overcoming this rather unpleasant task.
(Incidentally, I can't use the other things cos I get that toxic whatsit thingymagig)

I do use the little bin in the bathroom, but I also have a nosey 3 year old daughter and dread the day she finds one of my deposits! Glad to hear that everyone else has to go through the same thing as me, though!

I have a bin beside the loo with a plastic bag in. I wrap them either in loo roll or the wrapper from the fresh one. I empty the bin when my cycles finished, tie up the bag and put it into the general household bin. Which then gets tied up and put outside. I have included a link to an ingenious little invention you might like. I havent personally used it nor do I know anyone who has! I agree about the useless wipe - it would be a lot better if they inc a baggie!

Well, I'm a bloke, but I know what the missus's sanitary arrangements are cos you can't miss them!

She has all her bits and pieces (tampons, towels, nappy bags) in both the upstairs and the downstairs bathrooms. She is very neat and tidy and everything is wrapped in toilet roll, put in a nappy bag and then in the bin.

Emptying the bins is my job, hence my extensive knowledge!

Don't know so much about wipes though - although now I come to think of it my wife always seems to have wet wipes in her handbag when anyone spills anything.

Just asked the missus and she says her friend's sister nearly died of toxic shock syndrome. Sounds very nasty.

Don't flush!! It'll stuff up your plumbing and is not good for the environment. I wrap mine in toilet paper and put them in the bin. If you don't want your little girl going in the bin, put a small bin up on the shelf and empty it regularly. You can get decorative bins that are 10 inches tall, put a small plastic carry bag in there and you can tie the bag up and take it down to the normal bin each day.

I wrap mine in toilet paper, then put it in a nappy bag, then in my little bathroom bin that nobody else is allowed to use because it's got a scented bin liner in it specially for my "womans things"

I have a bin near the toilet and I usually wrap them in the wrapper used from the next towel or in toilet paper.

i have a bin next to my loo and i put them in there. I like the wipes - it stops any smell that you might get at that time of the month. The wipes on their own are really expensive, so i prefer that brand of towels.

In the days before I made the switch to tampons, yes... a pain in the butt to dispose of them. I had my own small bin behind the loo which I myself emptied in the evening.

I just wrap it in toilet paper and put in the bin, or place the old towel in the wrapper of the new towel and roll it up and put in the bin!!

I wrap them with the wrapper of the new one I'm changing it with and put it in the bin in the bathroom.
