Jupiter is a proto type of a star -- it is not massive enough, but has the right chemical composition. Despite it's mass and gravity, Jupiter would float if placed in a large enough body of water. It also spins at an extreme rate. A day on Jupiter is about 10 Earth Hours. It has 4 major satellites (moons), and numerous smaller ones. The Great Red Storm has been raging for many centuries - Gallileo spotted it. Turning astronomy on it's head, a comet proved able to hit a planet when Shumaker-Levy hit Jupiter and scientists are still studying the effects.
Venus and Earth are of similar size (Earth is 400 miles larger in diameter), and Venus is the brightest "star" in the night sky. Venus is indeed a planet of violence: The temperatures are hotter than Mercury, created by the dense atmposphere Venus has - roughly 90 times the weight of ours. The plate techtonics (or whatever the currect p.c. term is) are extreme as well causing major volcanoes and earthquakes; Venus has mountains making Everest look puny (tallest known is at 7 miles). While roughly 65% of the surface is flat plains, the rest of the region is mountainous, craterous, and just down right hellish. Good luck with your project.

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and the largest planet within the solar system. It is 778 million km away from the Sun. It orbits around the sun in every 11.86 years. Jupiter has 63 moons. Jupiter is considers one of the four gas giants. It would take 318 earth to equal the mass of Jupiter.
Venus is the second planet from the Sun. It orbits the Sun at an average distance of about 108 million km, and completes an orbit every 224.65. Venus has no satellites. It is the brightest object in the sky after Moon and can be seen in daylight if the sky is blue and cloudless. It is also known as earth "Sister Planet." Venus is the only planet in the Solar System named after a female figure.

Jupiter, the largest planet in our solar system. You could dump a couple of thousand Earths in there and still have room for lunch. Gravity is about 10x ours.
Venus our sister planet, 900 degrees F on the surface. Lead melts there as will most of the softer types. Sulphur Dioxide and Carbon Dioxide make up a large percentage of the atmosphere. Not an ideal vacation spot.

Venus is a very violent place. Constant storms of fire and molten ash... The Russians managed to get a probe through the upper atmosphere but after taking just two very hazy pictures it burned up...
