If so, overall, which situation is more serious? Dying in Iraq or Bush's buddies...

Intersting how the neo-cons do not address this question as Bush always discusses iraq with a silly smirk on his face...

Yes, he does...at least when ever I have seen him speak. It is sick how Bush doesn't realize how Iraq has ruined so many lives, and on the other hand how Presidential power since Bush has taken office never have had to answer for their actions.
I agree the smirk is disgusting...and the vets know this in their heart, but they are ignoring it because then it would prove that they made a mistake for voting for Bush and our country is worse off for it.

Iraq is far away and his friends are making a "killing" ( no pun intended). Those are involved with the big corporations who have made a bundle from the "raping" of Iraqi resources which has enriched them all.
Now, he is worried that if his rich cronies get in trouble here, they know where the bodies are"buried" so to speak and they can take him down.
Look at Jack Abramoff.
When his troubles started in 2002, the White House intervened and bailed him out. There is the little remembered U.S. attorney who was ousted to stop an investigation into Jack Abramoff.
U.S. Attorney Frederick A. Black had investigators looking into Abramoff's secret arrangement with Superior Court officials to lobby against a court revision bill then pending in the U.S. Congress. A grand jury subpoena was issued Nov. 18, 2002. A day later U.S. Atty. Frederick A. Black was demoted. The investigation went away soon after that.
The safety net did not last forever though.
Now with the Dems in charge of Congress, he is worried even more.

Bush does show a serious side when using the old drug term "good people" like "Al hua hua Gonzo goop people . Ja al needta back off"
Then he can flip to the smirk and giggle when the subject of dead Iraqi's comes up.
This is at least schizophrenia.

You are sitting here safe and sound because of the Brave Vets, Past, Present & Future. I would guess you would never have the chance to die for your country hiding under the covers in Mommies house

When you get right down to it, almost all politicians are "buddies".
But the Democrats are the most corrupt, as we all know.
