Perhaps she is seeking her own personality. It is a complement to you that she copies you , but for her sake , try to lead her in a gentle way to find herself. Above all, dont shun her .

This kind of thing does happen a lot. It seems like there is always one friend that can't think for themselves. She doesn't have a lot of self confidence, so she does what you do. She may also think it's flattering to you. If it were me, I would say something. You could just tell her that when she does that, it really bothers you, and ask her why she doesn't use her own good ideas. If you don't say anything, it's going to drive you crazy, and then you'll want to avoid her altogether. It's better to be honest and hopefully keep the friendship intact.

My mom always told me that imitation is the highest form of compliments, and I tell my kids that too. Don't sweat the small stuff (the van) but keep your ideas in head and only go grocery shopping with her. Don't ruin a friendship because someone admires you so much they want to be like you. If you want the friendship you will deal with it. Or you could give her one idea and do another ; and buy ugly clothes then take them back when she isn't with you.

It seems like your friend really likes you, and looks up to you. When you get a good idea, try telling her about another idea you thought up. Same when you're buying stuff-point out another car you really liked or something. Nobody is too horribly fond of being someone's shadow. If that doesn't work, tell her very nicely that you'd like her to stop copying you. It'll be awkward, but she's obviously a good friend, and really likes you.

First, you come to words with your self approximately whether you fairly try to outgrow the replica chum, the final chum that is been with you for as a result long. as quickly as you % you do not might desire to supply up being pals with your ultimate chum to produce different cool pals, you would be ok. you seem such as you prefer to produce different pals and isolate your ultimate chum and if that's so, you prefer a clean ruin. Your ultimate chum is doing what you do, each little thing which you do, so which you 2 nevertheless have plenty or quite the main in elementary instead of you and your different pals having extra to narrate to a minimum of one yet another approximately, so which you do not flow thoroughly removed from one yet another. that is a few thing you will possibly desire to %.

I had a friend like this. She copied whatever I did in my house. Furniture, drapes, added chair rail, pain colors. Linens, everything. I finally got to the point the I tried talking to her. She tried to tell me it was cause I had such good taste. The friendship ended up fizzling out. My house became my house again.

This is a form of flattery you should be very pleased.
I bet you could pull her hair and bite her!!!
In future keep all your plans to yourself, if she buys the same as you don`t comment and certainly don`t praise her.
Being nasty won`t help because she won`t understand. Comments won`t help again because again she won`t understand, ignore her copying as much as you can. She will grow up and mature eventually.

Maybe you should just talk to her about it. Tell her kindly that some things she does seem so similar to things that you do. Ask her if she notices it or why she's doing it. Maybe she'll tell you, maybe she won't. Hopefully she will, and it'll make your friendship stronger. But if she doesn't, mention it to her when she's doing it. Like if she buys the same thing as you say, "Hey, you know I had that, why did you buy one just like it?" Maybe she'll learn that it's nice to be unique.

That sounds scary o_o. Don't you at least feel a little good about it even if it is really annoying? She wants to be like you and follows you in everything you do.
My suggestion is to probably lay low on telling her what your plans are, or move far, far away.
