I was looking through the school railings at the deralict house across the road. And when the wind blew the torn net curtains out of the broken upstairs window, I, and a whole load of screaming kids, ran across the playground as if the devil himself was after us. I was 5 yrs old at the time. But I have no memories at all of anything before that. A complete blank. It's like I only came in to being at that moment. (But I do have parents and photos to prove otherwise LOL)

My earliest and most vivid childhood memory was when I was in Taiwan, holding a big wooden stick (grandma used it to make mantou, a type of chinese bun) like a guard, protecting the soda that I had wheedled from my uncle. I was only 2 at that time. I can still remember exactly where I was standing in the room and I could see the balcony that was there before they renovated the apartment. There were plants on the balcony as well. Sometimes I wonder if it is a true memory or not though as I can't fathom remembering something from that far back.

My next memory would be learning my ABCs in front of the condo we lived in back when I was 3. I would walk while holding my mom's hand and my sister would be holding my mom's other hand. With each step, we would say one more letter of the alphabet. The floor was tiled and there were huge glass doors. The mailboxes were right inside the building behind us and there was a sidewalk with 2 large cracks in front of the building. The building's first floor was mainly glass windows, but the top of it had brick. The security gaurd was sitting at the back and he was yawning the entire time. It was really hot as well and I was wearing a skirt.

I was two years old, i remember crying and screaming at a daycare because I didn't want to go. I was being held by my mom, and behind her was a hexagon shaped window, the house was a raised ranch. I also remember at that daycare when I was 2, sharing a crib with a girl named Danielle, looking at the glow in the dark stars on the ceiling. Thats the farthest and most vivid memory I have.

My earliest memory is when my mother came in and woke me from a nap and hugged and kissed me. I was 19 months old. I found out later that this is the period when my 2 month old sister was seriously ill in the hospital with double pneumonia, and my mother left me in the care of a neighbor because she was gone all the time. I must have remembered this because I missed her and was not around her, she was staying at the hospital trying to keep my sister from dying. Pretty weird, huh?
By the way, my sister did not die and has bugged me ever since. I am 49 and she is 48 and we have always been close.

I have a lot of memories when I was 5 years old, and anythingelse really goes blank, im 27 years of age. Weird, like a starting point when the memory developes..

like right now im thinking about anything before, and I get some flashes but I would really have to lay down and just zone out for a while to those memories.

My most vivid and probably earliest memory is when I was 18 months old and on holiday in St.Ives Cornwall with my parents and grandparents. I vividly remember waving goodnight to my nan and grandad through the window of their caravan and then looking into the trees and seeing the moon through the branches. I remeber saying "Moon in the trees" as it looked to me as though the moon was in the tree itself rather than in the sky (like I said I was a kid!!).

My earliest memory is from when I was 3 years old...my family was on vacation somewhere and my mom was taking a picture of my sister and I sitting on top of this big bronze elephant statue. I remember that it was very, very hot outside (it would have been July most likely) and I just remember the statue burning my legs because it was so hot.

Being pushed in my pram down to the ferry to go across to visit my Grandma on another island. I must have been just under 2.

They didn't take prams on the ferry, so Mum had to leave it it the ferry office.

I remember kicking and squealing because I had to walk. No wonder poor Mum was worn out to a frazzle!

I remember seeing a green door while being held, and watching the person holding me, place a key into the keyhole to open the door.
I mentioned this to my mother, just before she died, she said that it was my brother who was holding me, and opening the door, at an apartment we had recently aquired. (This was back in 1979, I was 4 years old, when this occured, I'm now 31 years old).

getting lost on Waymouth beach, aged 5.
I wanted to go in the sea with my elder sister, so of we went, 5 minutes later I was bored, she didnt want to walk me back so she said to me "you see that ice cream kiosk, mum and dad are right next the that". There are about 12 ice cream kiosks on Waymouth beach, plus it was August bank holiday and packed!
Being a sensible child, after a few minutes I found a lost childrens hut and got settled and did some colouring in. My Dad came and got me later on (not sure how long, no concept of time at that age!!!) and I didnt want to leave my colouring!!!!!
