keep all ur regular friends that u know and trust, and be nice to her and hang w/ her a LITTLE, cuz if she wants to really be ur friend, she'll stay w/ u and maybe invite u shopping or something. that happened to me, she sat next to me in social studies and we started talking, joking, and passing notes. i didnt know if she actually wanted to me my friend, or just one of those people u talk with only in one class. now were best friends and she and i, and my other friends, go everywhere together.

I wouldn't cause most of the time it is a joke but hey u never know i guess if you have a lot in common it might work. Tell me how it goes.

stick with your real friends, but be nice to the popular person. If she truly wants to be your friend, you should be able to tell. Unlike the movies, popular people aren't such good actors. Again, don't lose your true friends cuz you want to be popular.
