Most of the cats stayed in the bag until he died. Except for Vietnam. Very powerful man. Knew where all the Skeletons were buried and who was in the closet. Had dead people vote for him at election time. Hasn't changed much in 35+ years.
This was all before all the news that was or wasn't the news got out to the public so fast. That makes the difference between him and his other fellow Texan! A lot of things got buried, including an assassinated president. What an era in our country's history.
Lady Bird owned a big portion of Brown & Root(now Haliburton owns it). They made a pot full of money in Vietnam! Wow! Dems did it, too. Those rascally Texan have all the wars and money, too! Almost full circle!

Aggressively getting us into the Viet Nam war. And making poor military decisions that cost a lot of young lives. Dead and alive. Being a role model for George W Bush. LBJ had the same greedy arrogance. And we will have the same cost in lives, again. Following John F. Kennedy. Getting voted in overwhelmingly when he was elected in his second term against an Arizona Republican named Goldwater. I was 10 years old then and part of a military family. My brother is still suffering for LBJ's arrogance.

Personally, I remember LBJ for putting the boot to the back of the neck of the Ku Klux Klan, and crushing them like the blood sucking leeches that they are. For all of the man's mistakes in dealing with Vietnam, he stood by Dr King and the American Civil Rights movement, and forced the evolution of modern social constructs and evolution down the hate spewing throats of slave state neanderthals

Being on the cover of Mad magazine holding his shirt up pointing to the scar from his gallbladder surgery. Mad had taken the liberty of putting a map of Veitnam on his stomach so he was pointing to Hanoi. The original picture (without the map) made the front page of every newspaper.
